Israel is bordered on its west coast by the Mediterranean Sea and in the South by the Red Sea.

Along the Mediterranean Sea there were two major ports the Haifa port in the north and the Ashdod port in the south.

Haifa Port is Israel’s largest port located about 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of Tel Aviv. The port is located in a natural, protected bay and includes many facilities that allow for the shipping and transportation of all types of cargo as well as docking facilities for large passenger liners.

Ashdod Port is the leading economic gateway to the State of Israel with a strategically advantageous location, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Tel Aviv and close to the country’s major commercial centers and highways.

The southernmost city in Israel Eilat is home to the Eilat Port.  Located about 356 kilometers (222 miles) south of Tel Aviv it offers a great entry point into the Negev region, Massada and Jordan (Petra).

Ophir Tours offers shore excursions for incoming cruises to all of the above ports (Haifa, Ashdod, Eilat).
